The class 5 appears to have +1 for sound qualityover the other although it seems good too.And another +1 for Made in England right next to thr big boys! It`s really hard to try to distinguish one over the other on the internet! You`re right on with one thing. The TA-15 is over twice times the cost of the Class 5!Thanks a Bunch!jeffp

Marshall did not replace the class 5 with the speical edition 1 watt amps. The 1 watt doesn't compete with the class 5 entry level amps.
